The Agriculture Program Graduates still need more practical training in order to be able to help community farmers put aside the less productive traditional methods of crop cultivation and be able to learn and use more productive crop cultivation methods. We  know that there are two very similar, Biblically-based agriculture development programs that can produce much greater productivity than the widely used traditional methods. The programs are called Farming God’s Way and Foundations for Farming; it has been reported that these programs can increase production by 6 to 10 times. Thanks to Patrice Vibbert in Michigan, we know of valuable practical guides for the Farming God’s Way program.

Fortunately for Burundi, the Field Guide is available in Kirundi and Trainer’s Reference Guide is available in French. At our recent Project Managers and Agriculture Program Graduates’ Meeting, we distributed Kirundi copies of the Field Guide for Farming God’s Way.

Thanks to Lauren (Chudnovsky) Anderson in Michigan, some us know about Foundations for Farming that is active in Bujumbura Rural Province. Recently, Hope Africa University Rector Servilien NITUNGA, Vice-Rector Edouard NIYONGABO, Research Director Bosco BASHANGWA MPOZI and Agriculture Program Head Cyprien NTUNZWENIMANA and Haley McCready Outreach and Development Fund Founder and Program Director John McCready and Program Coordinator Dieudonne IRAMBONA visited the Foundations for Farming Training Centre, Corn Fields and Composting Site.
